The very first thing I do before I start my discussion about my topic is to greet my students and ask them how they're doing. After that, I always remind them about the classroom rules which is mostly about behaving well inside the classroom, raising hands if they want to say something, avoiding to make unnecessary noise while the class is still on going, and the need to enjoy every activities regarding our lesson.
Before I start with my next lesson, I usually ask them about our last lesson as a review. I start the new lesson by showing them pictures and videos as motivational activity, and I will ask them some questions about the pictures or videos. I usually ask questions which measures there critical thinking skills. After that I usually proceed by giving them activity which is usually the one that is giving them the idea about our topic for that day. Then that's the time where I connect that activity into our next lesson by introducing the concepts.
